So we got approved on October 31st and we still do not have an NVC case number. It has been almost a month and every time I call the NVC they tell me that they have not even received our case and it could take up to 8 weeks!

Is anyone else encountering this long of a wait? Our I-129F was processed at the Texas Service Center

Oh yea I AV been waiting for case number since the 8nov, my fiance call nvc Wednesday and they say they didn't receive our case yet, then he call uscis and they say they already shipped off our case to the nvc,.... but my noa2 didn't say anything about shipping it off all it say was that it was approve and it will include sending it to nvc or does,....while others say the approve reaffirm petition was shipped to the nvc

Our NOA2 was October 23rd and nothing received as of yet from the NVC. I also called and got the 8 week response. Hopefully we will hear something soon as I too would prefer not to have to wait 8 weeks.

Our 1-129F was processed at the California Processing Center, got approved on October 2, and NVC received it and mailed it (albeit, the wrong embassy) on November 12/13. I had called them the Friday beforehand, and they said that they had received it and were processing it, and then I called a week later and they told me that they had already mailed it to Paris - (of course, this freaked me out, considering we asked them to mail it to Tunis). All told, it took the CSC and the NVC a combined five and a half weeks.

My petition also got approve on Nov 14. I called them twice and they told me to wait for 8 weeks. I also email them and they asked me for NOA2 because they didn't get my petition so they will follow up with CSC.

You should be patient and everything will be fine :) i dont think that this could be the reason that they hold your case .... as i know it takes time and CSC is slow right now :) Dont give up :) but in my opinion it's better to send an email to NVC insted of calling for the case number i think it's faster in this way to get it :)
