When I finally have given up calling NVC for dad's case status that's when you don't expect things will happen.

Finally got an email from NVC today that my dad's case was completed and they will be sending it out to Manila US Embassy.

His Interview will be on Jan 06, 2014.

I started his journey on Jan 17, 2013 and took 7 months to get his NOA

Congrats and consider yourself fortunate. My daughter filed for my wife and I (her biological parents) from November 15, 2012 and my case was completed on October 17, 2013 with interview scheduled for January 31, 2014, however, my wife's petition is still with NVC with no idea when it will be completed and interview date set. We are well over one year in the process and have also given up on calling NVC as it is totally futile.

they just pretty much ask

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME MY DAD SAW ME.

WHERE HE WAS BORN

WHAT IS THE PETITIONER'S NAME

WHAT'S THE PETITIONER'S DO FOR A LIVING

WHAT IS THE PETITIONER'A NAME/HUSBAND'S NAME.

WHEN DID THE PETITIONER'S IMMIGRATED TO US AND HOW DID SHE IMMIGRATE?

I briefed my dad for a long time and luckily I told him of this stuff and this are exactly what they questioned to him. I am so glad I did!

Hi Paps IR5,

About the last question - does that mean when you when you got your green card or when you got your US citizenship, I think it doesn't mean when you moved to US first (since we could have come in H1 work visa, which is not immigrating, right ?) ?

Thanks for your detailed response, I'm also briefing my mom on these type of questions.

thanks much !
