I don't remember answering that question when I filled out my DS-160.. are you sure it's on DS-160?

The link below is a sample form showing all the DS-160 questions:

On the DS-160? It asks for purpose of trip, which would be Fiance(e) of US citizen and it asks for intended date of arrival. Where does it ask for intended length of stay? I do not believe the questions are numbered, but you say it is question #36.

I'm confused.... the questions in the DS-160 weren't numbered as what I've seen in the sample.. but i remember seeing that question on DS-156 question #26 (correct me if im wrong).. you don't need the DS-156 form and the other forms which were required before.. we just need to accomplish the DS-160.

i hope it helps..

Thanks for the replies. Yes the question was from a example list IG questions, not the actual ds 160. Its like a practice set of questions. I found the example ds 160 and I don't see that question on there. Thanks again. We really appreciate everyone's help. Have a great day:)

Hi dear. I read the new form. We are not required to sign the ds-160. You are talking about the new k1 form which is the ds-156.

Yes, you do sign the DS-160. You sign electronically by clicking to 'Sign and Submit' the form. Then it will give you your confirmation. The DS-156 is not a new K-1 form. It is the old one that is no longer in use and has been replaced by the DS-160.

I did correct you. The DS-160 is used for ALL K-1 applicants. The DS-156 is no longer used. Please read the info from the link I posted above.

Also, this link, under Required Documentation > http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html

And, for those going through Manila, there are actually instructions directly from the consulate > http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/325288/packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_10%20October%202013_.pdf

Department of State Transitions to DS-160 for K Visa Applications

Effective immediately, all K visa applicants are required to complete the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. The DS-160 replaces forms DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-230.

For K visa cases already in process at a U.S. embassy or consulate, the DS-160 is not required when, prior to October 7, 2013, one of the following situations exist:

The K visa applicant is already scheduled for an interview.

The K visa applicant has already been interviewed and has been requested to submit additional documentation or is pending administrative processing.

The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so.
