Hello,

I applied for my AOS November 20th,

I am a bit nervous about if a medical condition would negatively effect my approval of my GC.

I have a heart condition - hypertrophic cardiomyopath, and I was signed off by a doctor during my K1 and was honest about the prognosis of my illness (possibly not the longest life)...I was told 5 years, if no improvements.

We have been honest, and done everything correctly...I just want to spend my life with my husband and our daughter.

Is this medical condition something to be worrisome over?

Thanks everyone

Sorry to hear that.

Unless it is of public health and/or safety concerns, or could make you a public charge, a medical condition will not make you inadmissible to the US.

By public health and/or safety concerns I mean dangerous contagious diseases, or mental illnesses that could make you dangerous. I.e. tuberculosis or schitzophrenia can make you inadmissible. Cancer cannot.

By public charge I mean that US taxpayers will end up paying for medication, treatment etc.
