SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CIVIL SURGEON QUESTION

My fiancée was refused the MMR vaccine at Knightsbridge due to alleged restrictions on the vaccine in the UK. I know this means she will have to get it done via a civil surgeon here in Southern California. We are in San Diego, but can go to LA or Orange County if necessary. Anyone know of a civil surgeon in SoCal who might transcribe the vaccine without having to do the whole physical again? I found an old post from a few years ago on this topic, but the offices they referenced are closed. Thanks!

Try this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/466610-any-civil-surgeons-in-san-diego-area-that-dont-rip-you-off/

I can't say how much just the MMR vaccine would be, but for us she charged $50 for the vaccination transcription and $75 for the TDaP shot, without any complaints and no need for a full medical exam. They seemed very knowledgeable about the exact requirements for AOS, so I was happy with them. Cash only (no CC or check) payment, which I did find a little odd, but it was fine!

Try your local county health clinic. My follow up was 23 dollars and they created a shot card for me that has been useful.

If your fiance is still in the UK they should speak to their GP. Mine did my MMR last week for no charge at all

You are missing the plot. The fiancé needs a US civil surgeon to sign off because all the shots were not completed and recorded on the Knightsbridge form. You may be looking for the same if you got a shot after your medical. The USCIS won't accept a note from you GP.

Yes, thanks all. We will get the shot in the U.S. from a civil surgeon who hopefully will not require the whole medical again. The MMR seems to be a perpetual problem in the UK for Knightsbridge for some reason.

I think the idea is that they may take the record of this MMR shot to the Civil Surgeon to avoid having to pay for one to be done by the Civil Surgeon. But you are right in that the Civil Surgeon still needs to fill out the i-693 and sign off on it. He would just transcribe it from the DS-3025 and the GP MMR record.
