Sylvester Stallone to make new 'Rambo' film

Sylvester Stallone is set to make a new 'Rambo' film - at the age of 58.

The Hollywood star says he is ready to reprise the famous role, and has already been in talks with movie producers about making a fourth instalment of the hugely popular series.

He said: "We're in the kitchen and we're cooking. I've had meetings about this and it looks good. We'll see what we can come up with."

It is now rumoured that filming on 'Rambo 4' could begin later this year, but as yet no details about the possible storyline have been released.

Stallone - whose mother Jackie recently starred in British reality TV show 'Celebrity Big Brother' with his ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen - is also working on a sixth 'Rocky' film.

The veteran actor, who starred in and wrote the five-film series, first shot to fame playing the boxer in the phenomenally successful movies, winning an Oscar for his performance in the first film.

The news comes shortly after Stallone announced plans for a sixth Rocky film in 2006.

Rambo IV will see former Vietnam veteran John J. Rambo retired into a quiet life until he gets involved in the case of a missing child.

The movie will be shot between Mexico and the United States.

Filming is scheduled to start in the spring.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I saw a preview for "Rocky Balboa" in the theater and had the same reaction (as did others), but I've read two articles about it saying it's a good movie and no, it's not an embarassment. On Ebert & Roeper it got two thumbs up too. So I'll see what Rotten Tomatoes has to say once it opens.

www.comingsoon.net has an interview with Stallone about Rambo IV - where he suggests that Rambo is a "complex and interesting character", and the new movie will be more "political in nature".

I guess you can't get more politically incorrect than Rambo...

I caught a bit of First Blood Part 2 the other day on AMC, which contained the following scene. Rambo, having escaped from being tortured by Stephen Berkoff and his rather striking Vinnie Jones look-alike gay lover, runs through a fully populated Vietnamese peasant village, which is then completely and utterly destroyed barely minutes later... by Rambo... surprisingly enough...

Then there was Rambo III - where one man is able to defeat an entire Soviet army battallion - while commenting that "he's no tourist" and being cheered on by the Mujah Hadeen.

I don't much like the Rocky films personally - even the originals weren't much cop. The boxing never really looked convincing - Stallone's stance and guard are completely unrealistic.

He wasn't that great when he was younger..

Ever see Delta Force - features a scene where Norris manages to hide and fire a rocket launcher via the exhaust pipe of his dirt bike.

He's a bit more spry at least that Steven Seagal. That guy is terrible.
