Hi guys!

I just called United air Phils because I keep on booking on their online site, and it always says Error at the last step after i put in my payment details..

So the guy who answered my call says, he'll book the ticket on my behalf, and he was puzzled why I was booking a One way flight

having a Philippine Passport, and said I needed to show my K1 visa first before they could book the flight..

I have no problems since I already have mine, but a friend of mine who has asked me to book her flight doesn't have the visa on hand yet..

My question is, are all airlines requiring the k1 visa before booking? Thanks.

Well I was able to book my fiance's with Philippine Airlines as a one way ticket from Manila to Los Angeles no problem. But that was through Expedia.com, not directly with the airlines, if that makes a difference.

What is United Air Phils? I cannot look them up.

It's just actually United air.. I just called their Philippine reservations support since I can't book online..

At the online site, there is no problem.. I could book a one-way flight but it would always have an error message once I click on purchase..

I guess booking through a phone call they are a bit more strict..

(I want to book at united because I already have mileage plus account.. )

I hope my information won't be used for fraud! Lol.. I requested them to delete my information as soon

as they got what they needed..

I had my visa in hand when my father in law ordered my ticket. I think if you are a US citizen you can order it without a visa but to claim it they said I had to show my visa. However, I wasn't able to personally give a copy of my visa so I told them and the agency's Philippine counterpart still sent me an email confirmation. They need a visa number though to book flights. It is pretty normal that they ask a visa number if they get a hold of you through phone call or personally talk to you compared to booking it online. :)
