Hello! Everyone... My flight is from Manila to Vancouver and to Portland USA and that is this coming Dec.4, 2013, I am using a k1 Fiance Visa.

I am just wanting to ask help from anybody who had a flight like mine and could share the entire details of the flight, I am excited but a little bit nervous since it is the "first time".

I hope to hear from anyone here..THANK YOU!!!!

Well, couple of things come to mind first off its a long flight so dress comfortably. Wear warm clothes because the airplane is cool and can feel cold to a woman. Make sure you have some us dollars with you in the event you need them to make a call or get something to drink. Don't pack your documents in your checked luggage. Always carry the packet with you. Don't open the packet except the plastic pouch to get your passport. Be sure to have pesos to pay your exit fees. I'm sure there is more but relax because what you have waited for is waiting in Portland.

Good luck and welcome to America.

they said more than i can think of. i live in salem. salem is about one hour drive south of portland. i came back from my first visit to the Pilippines last jan.3` 2013.i have sleeping problems, so staying awake the whole time is a long flight. and yes you may want to wear something like sweats to be comfy and warm enough on the plane. maybe even a t-shirt with a sweatshirt over it-layers. when i left the PI , i had layover in korea for 23 hours. it was 11 deg.- below zero- celsius. so think about if you have layover where you may leave the airport? yes and having U.S. currency for a snack or meal for layover. i flew asiana, and was very happy with service. food was good. the all have small light blanket incase your cold also. paper slippers.... change for phone call if you don't carry a cell that will work while coming over here. asiana even had tooth brushes and paste. so you don't have to dig through your carryon bag.i never read books. so if you do, i'd bring one or two books. that way is good to pas time when not watching a movie. welcome to oregon! there is a lot to see. esp nature here. you'll arrive 4 days before my birthday. my Bing will fly for the first time in the pi, this december to see what it's like before flying to portland, herself. it will be exciting, and fun. especially of you can sleep most places . i can not to is was hard on me to stay awake so long. congrats - kieran

hi, can I take the medical 2 months before my interview date?

sweetie, dont hijack someone else's thread. next time please make one of your own <3

but to answer you, yes you can take it 2 months before the interview. BUT REMEMBER, the visa validity is tied to your medical. So if you plan to take it 2 months early, that will leave only 4 months of validity on the visa. You can do that if you plan on leaving immediately after getting the visa anyway.

How much should I bring (in dollars) while travelling? And do they really ask you to take off your shoes during checks? I wanna know what footwear is best to travel with.

Yes you will need to take off your shoes so wear comfortable shoes and if you don't want the hassle of untying and the retying afterwards then wear slip on shoes. About the money $30 to $40 USD is enough to get food and snack(s).

Safe travels.
