HI, just a quick question. I (petitioner) just got an email from the embassy stating that they've received our approved I-129F and they are ready to process it. The letter they attached has links to all the required documents she'll need and instructions for paying the visa fee. The interview, it says, can be scheduled by my fiance in any available slot that's open. They requested that I forward the email to my fiance - soooo....is this considered "packet 3" or should she be waiting for something else in the regular mail? I checked the embassy info link at the top of the VJ page, but it looks a little dated. Also just checked the status at ceac.state.gov and it says AP - is that normal?

This process is going very quickly now and I'm thinking OMG I've gotta clean the house top to bottom!!!

I will just congratulate you on getting closer. Don't worry about cleaning house. No matter how clean you get it she will think it dirty and clean it like crazy when she arrives.

I will leave the answer to the question about packet 3 to someone with more recent experience but I believe you download that from the internet now rather than wait for the mail. Someone else can answer for more accurately.

Yes, that is the packet 3. There is nothing else you need to wait for. Everything is available on their site, you can pay on their site, you schedule the interview on their site. Make sure to get the medical done before the interview. You do not need to send anything to the embassy, bring everything to the interview.

Thanks!

We've had our case transferred to the consulate in Kiev due to an illness in my fiancee's family. She is Ukrainian by birth and received Russian citizenship later. Moscow was very quick to respond to my request and explained that I just needed to contact Kiev and make the request to them directly. Just got another email from Moscow this morning informing me that our case has now been transferred to Kiev. Only took about a day and a half to do this! Would that USCIS have moved this quickly!

Yes, Moscow and Kiev embassies are pretty fast. Note that there is no packet 3 from Kiev at all (they do send a letter to the beneficiary stating that you can schedule the interview, but it's not needed at all and takes a long time to arrive due to crappy UkrPoshta). All info is on their site. You need to pay with cash in person at a branch of Raifaissen Bank Aval in Ukraine before you are able to schedule an interview. You can take the medical the day before the interview if there are no kids and have the results that same day.
