last February I was denied entry to the US when I was going to visit my boyfriend....I was forced to sign an application to withdraw my admission.... they thought I was going to work and stay in Hawaii cuz I had just been there and had all my hair styling tools, didn't have enough money for them to believe I could support myself.... blah blah blah. they were nice in the end, saying I just needed to prove ties to Canada and I could try again closer to six months...

since then my husband has left Hawaii, come to Canada, we got married in may, and we are in the process of immigrating him here...we would like to go to Ecuador in January, and I want to use my united travel voucher so we have to stop in US twice.

so my question is, do I have to apply for something, or do I just bring evidence with me, not really sure what the procedure is....any advice would be helpful, thanks!

Two questions:

- Is there anything written in your passport?

- The two stops, are they overnight or just a couple of hours in the airport?

You should simply do as they suggested; just bring ties to Canada the next time you want to travel to/through the US.

Proof of employment, lease, bank statement, and also your flight itinerary that shows Ecuador as the destination should be adequate to overcome the 'intent' factor.

It would also help if your husband is traveling with you and that he shows proof that he has permanently moved to Canada and doesn't intend to live in the US for the foreseeable future.
