I am an African lady who is a selectee for the dv lottry 2014. I have been dating an indian guy for the past 4 years and we want to get married early next year. India is not eligible for the dv lottery and I have no idea of what to do before, during and after we are married concerning his status or how can he join me as soon as possible if we win? My case number might be current in July 2014.

Please reply with links and evidences.

Marry now and add him to your case. At interview you will provide proof of length of relationship. There's a VO answering questions on a local Nigeria forum if you want to post your question there as well:

**** Moving from K1 fiance visa to Diversity Visa forum ****

Above is correct, marry now and he cam come on your visa if you get approved.

The fiance visa (you posted in the K1 forum originally) sis only for US citizens and it wil be 5+ years until you are one.

Just to add: it doesn't matter that India is not eligible, as you are the winner. Get married before the interview, and send KCC a copy of your marriage certificate as well as updated DS230 forms for you (with him on now as spouse/derivative) and for him and take these to the interview too. Also take proof that you have been in a long term relationship so they can see this isn't a "green card marriage".

Concur with the above. Your family getting a visa will depend solely on you ( as long as none of them are personally excluded for being inadmissible ) If you number becomes current and you meet the education/work requirements your immediate family gets visas. Because you married after winnig they will look at the marriage closely

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
