Hi everyone. New to this forum but already have read a lot about AOS and everything that is close to my case.

My question is: I am F1 student engaged to USC, we are planning on getting married soon and after that to file my papers to immigration, but one thing I am worried about is that I was previously married here in US not to a USC, it didn't work out so we got divorced ... Question: is it going to be a complication, kind of a red flag? And what advises would you give about my case.

Thank you for any respond

That depends, how long ago did you get divorced?

If it's been many years already it likely won't be a big deal.

If you got divorced and re-engaged all within a few months it will be a huge red flag.

Got divorced last February. Moved to my BF around August. So how long is it better to wait before getting marry again?

One more thing: My F1 status isn't expired, I still go to school, had no intent to marry a USC and stay, but since I've met my fiancé everything is really good and his parents insist on us getting marry. Should we get marry now but wait with applying for AOS so immigration officer won't have questions? Please give some advise Thank you

If you have a life together and proof of bonafide relationship, then you should be fine. The last marriage was not to a USC so it doesn't look like you are marrying serial USCs to get a greencard. That being said, why are you getting married? If it is just because of the parents, USCIS may not like that answer.

It's not just because of the parents.. He proposed to me after 8 months dating and 3 months living together.. and I said yes, so we are engaged. But I didn't want to rush with actual weeding . But his parents insist since we already live together why wait.
