Waiting for case number

Hi im a newbie here. We are on K1 proces. It is normal that the approval takes only 20days from the day we file our application.

Oct.31, 2013 we applied I-29F

Nov.5,2013- NOA1 recieved

Nov.20,2013-NOA2 recieved.. Approved..

Now we are waiting for out case number from NVC.

how long does it takes to get the case num? Thanks

It took us 29 days from NOA2 (CSC) to recieve our Case #. So give it 4-5 weeks (considering the holidays). But start calling after a couple weeks. DOS 202-485-7600 / NVC 603-334-0700. They will say give it 8 weeks, call back then. Keep calling. I prefered calling DOS, a lot less hold time and seemed to get more info than the, just call back 8 weeks.

Ours took almost 5 weeks. Start calling NVC after 3 weeks.

no, that's not normal. but it is the "trend" lately (fast approvals). case number for petitions handled by CSC averages 6 weeks although NVC will say to wait for 8 weeks. they send them in bulks meh
