So I'm gathering my Facebook, Skype & phone history for my fiancé. Has anyone been questioned the authenticity of the print outs? I mean it seems like you copy the history and paste it on a word doc? So with some effort and time (which many people seem to have waiting on this whole K1 process) one can just "create" some history on a word doc. Or are people getting "authentic" history?

Take screen shots instead. Make sure dates are showing. Instead of word docs you will be creating pictures.

I have yet to read anyones communications needing to be "authentic". Of course that doesn't men they believe what they read I guess thats why its secondary evidence not such a big deal.

I know whatsapp looks so manufacture but they know all this. Just like our pics they know w can photoshop and do whatever they take us at our word also.

We didnt use screen shots, just copied/paste the conversations from Facebook and Skype along with printing out emails. Then selected a couple pages from each month of the Skype, Facebook, Email. Our process is moving along smoothly no RFE's.

I minimized the windows of skype to fit three on a screen and took screen shots of 2-3 minute conversations from each day. So it came out to 20 pages of screen shots encompassing 60 days of conversations? Printed google chat to pdf.

We just printed out the pages from the actual I'm messages and printed out skype credit email receits and that was good enough we got our visa a week ago. <3

I just took a screenshot of 1 conversation per month on Skype. Make sure the dates can be seen. Never been asked about its authenticity, but be mindful of the chats you will send. Nothing too.... sizzling

Yes they want to see first communications. Not every single thing. Since many of us communicate about 4 or 5 different ways i am sure since the beginning you can show you communicated.

Explain in a coverletter what you deleted so they know. I know I told of disconnected phone I no longer have so all those phone text were gone but we had emails, IM's whatspp, facebook and phone records to cover all that time.

Some embassies don't care some do. It's not what USCIS wants they could care less its appeasing the CO. I have seen CO's require the interviewee submit communications from the beginning so it all depends.

Many used those phone cards that don't prove anything. I know a couple he didn't know nothing of online stuff so their 2 year courtship was all phone records.

Then I'm in serious trouble, our first comunications was all done on Facebook and an occasional prepaid phone card. Those every one was deleted, I have a few recent what's app chats recent outragous phone bills, I hope my flights to Africa every two to three months since Feb will be enough. .. I'm stressed now

Well our CR1 visa was approved on Tuesday and they never asked for any chat history or phone records. I was so mad because I had printed out a year's worth of phone records and 6 months of Viber chat. Just be sure to bring photosand kknow the dates.

When it comes to chat history just a few to show your love will be good to show you communicate that's all they want to see it doesn't have to be exactly from the point of the exact beginning just some is good enough good luck! <3

Facetime will always trump chats and Im's and such thats considered secondary evidence. You have filed already right? Don't be worried you are doing what most haven't visit often. Just show that in a relationship timeline and you will be fine. have what you need at interview probably never will be asked for but prepare what you have.

The only purpose some of us had in printing from start to most recent is for further proof of ongoing relationship.

if you have proof that you've been with your fiancee physically every 2 or 3 months then that is much better.

Any CO would prefer hearing "I visited him 5 times this year" than "I called him 100 times today".

Don't worry too much about the chats or phone logs. just bring what you can.
