Hello guys NVC just send me an email that they received my petition, How long it takes to be assigned a case number? My journey started since 2 month ago and my PD is 30th September 2013 And i did search on the internet where a lawyer stated that NVC start your process you case when they know your pd will be current within 2 or 3 month I would like to know is it true or not .

07/26/2013 - Johnny went visiting
07/29/2013 - Got married in P-au-P
09/23/2013 - I-130 sent
09/30/2013 - PD
09/30/2013 - NOA-1 received in email

10/03/2013 - NOA 1 received in the mail
11/13/2013 - NOA-2 approved (in email)
11/18/2013 - NOA-2 received in snail mail

11/25/2013 - NVC received the case

12/05/2013 - NVC assigned case number

05/22/2015- NVC case completed over the phone

06/01/2015- cc email confirmation

Interview 08-05-2015 7AM Port-au-Prince

06/06/15 Ceac in AP status :cry: (they ask me for joint sponsor)

10/02/15 Ceac changed from AP to Issued (after almost 2 month)

10/07/15 Passport with Visa oh hand :dancing:

10/18/15 Ready to enter in US JFK airport

It will just take days for them to assign a case number. Yes. If your PD will be current, your case is ready for processing at NVC. Wait for their mail, it is stated there. Goodluck! :)

Oct. 15, 2013 = Case Number & IIN received via mail

Oct. 29, 2013 = IV Fee Bill received and Paid

Nov. 06, 2013 = AOS entered into system for review

Nov. 20, 2013 = DS-260 completed

Nov. 27, 2013 = IV documents entered into system for review

Dec. 02, 2013 = AOS Checklist received

Dec.10, 2013 = AOS Checklist Response entered into system for review

Mar. 04, 2014 = Rescheduled Interview (originally Mar.18, 2014) VISA APPROVED!!!!

Mar. 12, 2014 = Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS)

Apr. 27, 2014 = GC received

May 15, 2014 = re-apply for SSN

But your PD is not current according to VB. Its 8 sep,2013. Need to wait till it get current for you.
