My petition is also apparently lost. NOA1 received over a year ago. This was after first being told my petition was on "indefinite" hold. I am waiting on an inquiry to be completed from the USCIS Ombudsman as well. My sympathies and hope we get a resolution soon.

Now one thing I do know about Yemen your petitions are processed differently I would imgine the extra extra scrutiny and background checks. You have a long wait for NOA2 and longer for interviews. I know for IR1/CR1 their wait is at least 6 to 8 months

That is ridiculous . If that happened to me I'd be furious. I dont know how youre not more angry you guys must have amazing self control. Hats off to you for being so patient, makes me feel bad for getting annoyed over a 2 week delay in the petition being mailed.

Im so sorry this happened to you and I hope they rectify it because they should do things in order.

I'm aware of that, however, this is not what I'm currently dealing with. In my service request response from USCIS they already acknowledged my petition is lost.

WOW this is just insane. I had problems with USCIS also. I didn't get any help from ombudsman office. They never answered my calls or emailed back an answer for my inquiry. I know how you feel as USCIS took 2 and half months to send my case to NVC. Anyway I would recommend contact your Senators office for a quick answer. I contacted my Senators office, and they told me that my file was still at USCIS. They usually take about 2-3 business days to respond back. I am quite sure they will help you resolve this issue.

Good Luck!

Been waiting since February 5, 2013 for our NOA 2. Received paperwork stating my documents are lost, and we and have to resubmit everything!!! Also have to get written verification from the NVC(30 business days per there rep) that they haven't received our paperwork. Doesn't make any seeing that we only have received our NOA 1. Why would the NVC have it!? Spoke with countless tier 1 & 2 reps. Each gives me info going in a different direction!!! Soooooooooooooo frustrated!!!!!!

The first time we filed our I-129F they took TEN months to deny it! So frustrating. We did not meet in person but you are allowed to ask for an exemption. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks with end stage renal failure and put on dialysis and they would not let my fiance come visit! So we applied for an exemption and it took them ten months to say, nope sorry.

Praise God we reapplied in March 2013 and it went smoothly; I tend to think because someone felt sorry for us that we were screwed the first time around. I really feel for ya'll. :(

my best advise is to do exactly what they are asking....I am so sorry about this nonsense. also, find your local field office, and make an INFO-PASS appointment ASAP. also, you will get an expedite due to Error by USCIS. so sorry :(

I have talked to friends who married Filipino's as I did, this K-1 visa used to be a 2-4 month process, with little to no problems.

But, now.,., just look what is going on in this country, ""IF YOU WANT YOUR HEALTH CARE PLAN, YOU CAN KEEP IT!"" IF YOU LIKE YOUR DOCTOR, YOU CAN KEEP IT""! As we know now, this was totally incorrect, and mis-leading!

This is just an example of what we are dealing with in the USA government. I am not advocating politics here, it IS THE GOVERNMENT WE ARE LIVNG UNDER, WE ARE BEING LIED TO, DECEIVED, TREATED UN-FAIRLY, AND PETITIONS ARE NOT BEING PROCESSED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED!

This is not a political statement, it is how un-fair and inept the federal government is, with way too many regulations!

Just one man's opinion!

Omg that is shocking.

Best things is to do it all again and send it asap.

If you spend ages on phone trying to solve how it was lost. you may not get anywere.

I sent off my application on the 21st of july, had my interview in Dublin on the 25th Nov and was told my k1 was approved.

It obscene how you have to wait this long.

I truly hope something works out for you
