Foreign wife with green card traveling in Europe while stationed in Germany

It looks like we're going to be stationed in Germany next summer. My wife is Thai and has her two-year green card...curious as to what her visa requirements are for traveling Europe or other countries while stationed in Germany.

Does she fall under Thai requirements or US requirements(maybe with orders and green card)? Does she have to get a schengen visa? Does it depend on the country we're going to?

Any help with any of these topics will be greatly appreciated.

Being from Thailand, she needs a visa to be in Germany. The schengen visa will allow her to travel. Europe has open borders so you can literally just drive over the border once you've entered the European Union at some point, in this case Germany.

FYI if England is on your list of countries to visit, she needs a separate visa for that as they are not included in schengen.

The only exemption the green card would give her is flying on a military plane, onto a us base and never leaving it, since Germany has no jurisdiction there...

Enjoy Germany!

I don't think she needs a visa, since she is a military spouse she's like a NATO member so I don't think it makes a different if that person in from the states (who would usually only be allowed to stay for 90 days too) or from Thailand
