It's simply a matter of scale. I would be willing to bet that if Japan was faced with similar numbers, they would find a way to handle them efficiently and expeditiously. My experience with Japanese bureaucracy has been extremely positive. It's night and day by comparison.

Possibly. There is no way to know, so any guess is only fantasy. Every government has its issues. The Japanese government is known for its efficiency. But this alone can come at great cost. The conviction rate in Japan is over 99%. Follow this premise to its logical conclusion.

How can you say that about someone you only know from a forum?

Yeah, because a few sentences on a forum means you know how someone thinks and lives their life. SoCalMark said 12 words. That's it. Give me a break.

I think you're correct that US Federal bureacracy is inefficient; and that US Federal workers are neither a greatly respectred or priviliged class. That is to be expected in a country founded on the principle of Federal Government as a necessary evil. The US Constitution is basically dedicated to limiting the scope of the Federal Government. Once you're in the country, I think that has its advantages!

Unfortunately, our country is quickly going to hell.

This once proud power is one big inefficient bureaucracy that is becoming the laughing stock of other developed countries. The economy sucks an not getting any better, quality of life is way down from as little as 20 years ago, and this country will soon be owned by others. There are still those from under-developed countries that think the US is gold, but thát's about it. That's why immigration is so slow, mostly people from the 2nd and 3rd world.

You're confused. He has had many posts; all of which I've read. Perhaps you're less of a student of human psychology than I? You said that I can't know how someone thinks from a few words. Yet, you used my few words to determine that the way I think can't possibly lead me to understand him. Broken logic is like a broken mirror; bad luck.

Nonsense! It's always the man at the top that is responsible. There is NO DOUBT that DACA slowed all applications...No question whatsoever. Sorry but you are so wrong on this it's just very upsetting. The DEMs are just trying to get all the votes next time around from all the current illegals who will become legal thanks to the president.

You are wrong. We pulled the numbers before we sent out our emails last week, and even have internal emails from the USCIS showing that they stopped processing the I130's to process the DACA applications instead. It did not slow ALL applications. It slowed the stand-alone I130s.

And the president is not at the top of the USCIS. That would be Mr. Mayorkas. The president is not responsible for the problem we're having. The USCIS and their inadequate planning, staffing, and complete lack of oversight are. Second to the USCIS in this little blame game, is Congress, who also has done exactly nothing to help us. Focusing on the wrong person or people is why we can't organize properly to get real and effective change in this system.

It's so sad that the citizens are treated as second class.
One of my friend's sister-in-law's petition got approved in 5 months (Permanent resident filling for a spouse).
I hope everything gets better before long. Inn shaa Allah!

Kaylara,

If you have hard evidence beyond just the internal emails, a Republican legislator may be quite interested in hearing about it.

internal emails, being admissible in court, are hard evidence.

Then move. If you truly believe the rantings of the FOX team that you are reiterating then you should be scared enough to leave. Please refrain from passing on misinformation and doomsday prophecies. It is counter-productive and oymorous in an online community in which all members seek to come here or bring someone here.

These threads always seem to derail. It's almost like people like arguing on the internet rolleyes.gif
