Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting here- there's so much information already here, that I've been able to find answers to most of the questions that I've had. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with us newbies- I really appreciate it. Anyhow, one thing that I'm confused about. Maybe someone out there can help...

So, I have a 129F petition pending (since Oct. 16) at the California Service Center. When I click to find out the processing dates- it says, as of today, they are currently processing applications with a June 15th submission date. However, there are so many couples on this site who are getting the approvals and their submissions are much later than June- some already in Sept/Oct, around my timeframe. Why does the USCIS website have such a later date on their site, if in reality there are approvals from couples as late as Oct already?

Maybe they do that to give themselves more time to process? They'd rather 'surprise' us by being 'earlier' than expected based on their website's timeline...?? That's my only answer- but the discrepancy makes a HUGE difference in terms of expected waiting times, and looking at the dates on their site is so disheartening.

Any insight from the experts? Thanks in advance, KO.

basically, the date at USCIS is the normal 6-month processing of ur application upon submission. So if u have been approved earlier even ur date has not been processed at USCIS, ur lucky then maybe because ur documents are complete, thus no request of more evidences :) it depends on the number of applications too. if there are lots of it then the date exceeds to the 6-month processing which is more than that. a lot experienced this, maybe there were evidences asked cos time is extended to study for more evidences...but if all documents are ok and no problem as they processed it, then u will be approved earlier than the normal processing time. u may think there is a discrepancy, but the people there are working their best to accommodate us all...dnt rely much on the dates posted...believe in urself that u will be approved sooner or later if there are no problems with ur documents submitted

goodluck!
