I believe the embassies have very clear instructions to not accept DS-260 for K1 visas.

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

The N-400 journey:

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

You may find the Packet IV from your embassy of choice outdated. The Tegucigalpa packet also said DS-260, but immigration services are moving towards the DS-160, which is a combination of five different forms.

My advice - contact your embassy to make absolutely sure. My bet - the DS-160 will be their ask.

Ds 160 and 100%make sure to take aprint out of the confirmation page with u to your interview otherwise you will be asked to go do it and return

I just got my k1 visa approved yesterday a guy was turned away as be did not have the ds 160

The DS-260 is for spousal visas. The change to have DS-160 for K1 visas is a recent one and was rather sudden, so most embassy packets still mention the DS 260 because of that.

My letter says ds 260

The letter is outdated. They used to use the DS-260, but not anymore. You need the DS-160 only. Just follow the instructions > http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/oct2013k1k4visa.pdf
