I did a little. But to be fair, we also switched back to BCBS due to complaints directed at our former provider. BUT, there were some cool things added like co-pays now going towards deductible and total out of pocket. My dental/vision/prescription did not change.

I have BCBS. The dental is changing to Aetna though.Have the same plans and had an 20% increase again. Not really complaining as it could have been much worse. My company absorbed most of the increase. They are saying now that my wife and I have to have mandatory physicals every year but that they will pay 100% of including basic labs.

Pretty much the same here. The physicals aren't mandatory but I think the ACA stipulates that preventative care be 100% covered.

Wasn't sure about the 100% payment for physical coming from the ACA. Not too happy on being told I have no choice but to get a physical yearly. I happen to get one anyway so no harm I guess.

They aren't mandatory typically. That must be a stipulation of your company. Here it is:

Free preventive services

All Marketplace plans and many other plans must cover the following list of preventive services without charging you a copayment or coinsurance. This is true even if you haven’t met your yearly deductible. This applies only when these services are delivered by a network provider

Some employers are participating in insurer-sponsored programs where they mandate annual physicals and/or give monetary rewards for losing weight or quitting smoking. Those employers get a discount on their premiums. It has nothing to do with ACA.

Yeah I know that. Some did that before. I was just really speculating on the preventative care being 100% covered now for everyone. Our HR told us this change was to fall in line with the ACA.

I get a monetary reward also for completing the physical. I forgot to add that after the physicals my wife and I get 500 dollars in our account that can be applied toward any other deductibles or just to use for any health care. Pretty nice. Almost pays for the extra 1250 dollars yearly increase in premium. lol

Agree. In 3 years my premiums have now come to about 100% more. Of course I knew it would when Obama promised that we would save money. Of course the sheep bought it hook and line. Thanks electorate.

Dude, rates should never have been based on insurance companies denying people for pre-existing conditions in the first place.
