I finally got it to work and got a family member enrolled. They got a nice subsidy check (thank you, taxpayers with HHI of over 250K and medical device manufacturers, love ya!) and the insurance company has been in touch and there's a card in the mail.

Why is it so hard for people to point out downfalls of the Aca (and there are plenty) with out acting like it's the end of everything America stands for? How can people expect to be taken seriously when every issue proposed threatens to ruin our country of the opposite of what they want happens.

Why is it not okay to walk up to someone and take their wallet but is perfectly fine to let the government take it from your check before it gets to you? I would suggest that you don't know how societies and governments work. And as AJ mentioned, I seriously doubt you're paying as much in taxes as I am so relax. Paying taxes is not being robbed, its paying taxes. Being an independEnt thinker is not all its cracked up to be when everyone educated tells you the earth is round but you reject what "the elitist liberal professors" tell you and go on believing it's flat. just curious. how big was the subsidy? will they be able to use it properly to offset the cost of their plan monthly? I ask the second question, because I think it would be hard for me to not dip in the well.
