Quick Question about DS-3032

Hi all,

We received the I-864 Bill today and sent the required Money Order and Barcode form back to the NVC PO Box, but were just wondering if we can send back the DS-3032 yet or if we have to wait for further instructions from the NVC? One of the forms was enclosed but I was a little confused by the instructional letter which said that "if a visa will be available within a year, we will send a DS-3032 form". I am presently in the US with my spouse (who is the petitioner), so I can mail it back before we leave the US on the 23rd December, but just wanted to check beforehand.

Thanks in advance for any help!

How did you get the DS-3032? Did the NVC sent it to you? If they did I don't see why you need to wait. They also need that information to know where to send the DS-230 package.

By the way, if I were you I'd leave the DS-230 filled out and signed, with the copy of your passport ready to be sent out (you'd just need to wait for the barcode sheet).

The DS-3032 arrived with the I-864 bill - as well as instructions on filling it out via email etc - speaking of which, is there anywhere I can check online about the status of my visa (like I was able to with the I-130 at the CSC)?

You do need to get the Choice of Agent off to NVC asap so it doesn't hold up the generation of the IV Bill which will be sent to whom ever you (the foreign spouse applicant) choose as your agent. You can email your choice of agent to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

There is no way of tracking your case online like there was when your case was at the CIS service center. You can use the NVC automated phone service to check on the status of your case. Please see the Timesavers Thread pinned in the NVC forum for information on the automated service. The link is also in my signature.
