HELP HELP - I Forgot To Include $340 Payment for I-129F Form

They'll mail it back to you. My idiot banker wrote the money order out for 345, not 340, and told me that was the correct way to do it. My petition was returned with everything in it, and we haven't had any issues since It just delays everything a couple weeks.

Just curious why a banker would think he knows anything about the fees for USCIS?

You can't pay over phone.

Yes you can. We paid over the phone.

Our cheque bounced because whoever my husband spoke to at the bank randomly decided to stop the cheque for no apparent reason.

He received an invoice from the Burlington Finance Center and they gave a number for him to pay by card over the phone.

I don't know though what they will do in the absence of any cheque. They may return it as not being properly filed. You may be lucky and they'll just send an invoice. You'll need to wait and see.

If you made a copy of what you sent out, you can probably send out an new application package out to them with the payment. Don't need to worry about the first one and it is no good and won't be filed in USCIS anyway.

Bear in mind though that everything needs original signatures..

It was my first time using a money order instead of a personal check ( I wanted the receipt), and she reassured me that 340 plus a 5 dollar fee meant that writing it as 345 was correct.

Hello, in the excitement I forgot to include my payment in our initial I-129F form. I called FEDEX to have them retrieve it before delivery, but lets just say FEDEX dropped the ball and lied about having the package.

Now it has been delivered and I don't want it refused or thrown out, what should I do?

Everything was clearly filled out, just that one piece very important piece I just forgot.

I am really sorry this is happening to you but I think you are going to have to wait for USCIS to return the packet. We all make mistakes and unfortunately I think your error will result in this taking more time than you wanted but it will all work out in the end. Don't beat yourself up over it. We will pray for you both.

No big deal. I did the same. All they do is return it and you re-send it. I lost maybe a total of 4 days.

But they did take it out of my neat looking notebook and rearranged it to their liking.

i will suggest to send the check via fedex express mail delivery, and make sure you put your Alien number on it or an explanation letter accompanying the check.

At this point, there won't be a case number or alien number on the petition.

It is probably easier to do as others have said, wait for USCIS to return the packet (which will have important forms and documents with the original signatures) and re-send everything along with the check/money order.

I have a feeling if you send in a check before getting the package back the two mailings will pass each other in the mail and you will get the package back anyways and now you will have to wait for them to return the check. I think I would wait as hard as that is.

They just sent the I-129F petition to the Dallas Lockbox intake facility without the payment. They have no case number or A# as of yet because the petition has not been accepted, assigned a receipt number and forwarded to the appropriate service center yet. They should not send payment now. It will not match up to anything and they might lose their $340. The petition will be rejected for not having payment included, and then they can simply file again, this time including the I-129F form fee.

Look at it this way, just wait until your petition is returned.

Then send petition with payment out.

In the past, petitions were taking up to 5 to 6 months to process. Now, they are going quick and I mean really quick.

So you loss a week or two. No need to take the risk. Just wait it out.
