Hello, in the excitement I forgot to include my payment in our initial I-129F form. I called FEDEX to have them retrieve it before delivery, but lets just say FEDEX dropped the ball and lied about having the package.

Now it has been delivered and I don't want it refused or thrown out, what should I do?

Everything was clearly filled out, just that one piece very important piece I just forgot.

Thank You,

Joel

I don't know if there's a possibility of getting an RFE straight off the bat for that.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

no such thing as an rfe for not including payment. The petition won't be accepted and it will be returned.

Only thing you can do is wait for it to be returned or send a new one with the payment this time. You forgot most important piece so they're not going to do absolutely anything with your packet.

I remember a thread a couple weeks back where someone was posting that they'd received a letter asking for payment for their petition. The only difference there was that they *had* sent a cheque, but it had repeatedly bounced. So, they can ask for payment.

I believe the usual course is that they'll send back paperwork that doesn't include the filing fee, though.

Does anyone know the direct contact phone number if I were to call and see about possibly paying over the phone?

Thank you for all of your feedback, and yes I know it was the biggest mistake we could have made.

You can't pay over phone.

Either wait for USCIS to send back the paperwork or you could prepare another package with check payment this time.

Hope that you have made a copy of all your paperwork.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

You just have to wait for them to reject the filing and send it back to you. Sorry. Live and learn.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

They'll mail it back to you. My idiot banker wrote the money order out for 345, not 340, and told me that was the correct way to do it. My petition was returned with everything in it, and we haven't had any issues since :) It just delays everything a couple weeks.

Resend is the name of the game for you. Check, double check, triple check, have a check off list so you don't get any RFE's or returns. Good Luck.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

If you made a copy of what you sent out, you can probably send out an new application package out to them with the payment. Don't need to worry about the first one and it is no good and won't be filed in USCIS anyway.

Same thing happened to another guy here - they will just send you back all your paperwork and you start over again.

It's like going to a sporting event and you forgot your tickets --- rofl.gif

From what I'm reading from the experts, you don't have a choice but to re-send. If I were you, to cut back on time, I would re-send with payment NOW and not wait on USCIS to resend the first package (since they are going to do so anyway). Your new package would pass the old one back on its way to you. When USCIS gets the new package, that will start the process for you, which would mean a shorter wait for you at the front end.
