I am attempting to get the K1 visa for my fiance. I recently got the NOA2 in the mail. So now I am working on the I 134 affidavit of support. My parents are vouching for my fiance since my income was very small in the last year. and they have filled out the I 134 to support my fiance. My question is, do I also need to fill out and I 134 form? I am in Argentina right now and my last 12 pays stubs are all from argentina. How can I get a US notary that way? Also, is there an expiration date for the I 134? My parents already filled it out for me. and the petition is at the NVC. Thankyou

the petitioner must file the I- 134 and if your income is not enough, then you have a co sponsor, which you say is your parents. you can find some information about this in the Guides. I have heard that once you and/or the co sponsor fill out the I-134, it is good for one year. Good luck

There is no provision for a Joint Sponsor with the I-134, only a Sponsor, whether that be you or your parents. It is not like the I-864 where there is provision to use a Joint Sponsor etc.

yamila,

For the reasons that aussiewench points out you may well not have to submit any financial information about yourself. And your income from a job in Argentina is meaningless.

Consular officers at US consualtes can notarize documents.
