hi im just wondering whats the wait time people have experienced from case complete at nvc til you got interview at embassy in cairo?

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Well for your embassy its a little different since yo don't know from day to day if its open or not. The wait has been quite ong if you wanted to check out the case complete interview thread. Looking at probably 2 to 4 months wait after case complete. But that can change in a instant who knows.

My understanding is Cairo gets shutdown somewhat on the regular due to security and other concerns, so it's really hard to say.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

Sorry. But you can't be surprised given all that's going on in your country. I know the June, July folks waited about 4 months. Look at past threads on it. It is what it is.

Very true about the situation here but its actually my husbands country and it jus really sucks cuz I am here with him now was gonna wait it out but I am 3 months pregnant now and we have decide its best to be back in america for the pregnancy..If it takes that long n then possible ap I'm thinking I'm gonna have this baby by my self :(

hi i sent my last packge in 6/ 2013 till now i haven't got my interview im still waitting its been 5 month now. Does Anyone Knows how long take for interview for at us embassy in cairo? :( Its take for ever

We had case complete at NVC on September 30th, 2013, so it will be 2 months on November 30th. :/ Still waiting for a notification of an interview! So hoping it will come soon! Does anyone know how much in advance of the interview the notification will come?

usually 30 days I have seen a week. Since they usually start last week of month of the 2st week for the following month (January coming up) you should have 4 to 8 weeks to prep.

Since its a short week I doubt anythig will happen today or friday next week probably.
