Any latest approvals? Tips on passing the interview at USEM appreciated.

Have everything listed in the embassy instructions letter, have your medical done at least a week before the interview, be self-assured, confident, look the CO in the eyes when speaking and ....... SMILE!!

Hello, i've been here in the states for a month now and so far my visa journey experience was great. Everything went smooth from the time we applied until my POE. From my CFO seminar until my visa interview.

Make sure you had everything ready and with prayers & courage you will get thru it.

Goodluck to everyone.

^^I went thru 2 interviews. First with a filipino consul and last was the american. I was ask about my fianceé's name, her work, when was the last time we met, if our family knows about it.

With the american consul, it was a quick one. She only asked what's my fiancee's work, if she met my family & what i liked about her. She looked at our photos and im done :)

Pinayanne, i think the TSC fillers are a bit behind. There are some of December fillers which until now are still waiting for NOA2 or have just got approved recently.

I have... my immigration attorney told me this morning that I should pay attention only to the timelines on the USCIS page. I'm frustrated.

Immigration attorneys...smmmmhhhh. The USCIS lists timelines to meet a requirement to communicate such timelines to the public. Our timeline was thankfully wrong at every turn. The entire process took us about 5 months from mailing the paperwork to my partner arriving at LAX. The first packet was timelined at 5 months......thankfully it didn't take nearly that long. Also at 5 months was the processing of the I485. From the time we mailed the packet it was 30 days to the biometrics appt and then less than 60 more days til the interview. That whole process took less than three months. For the permanent residency card to arrive took about 5 days though we were told it would be two weeks. So immigration attorneys know what they know, but the people who have lived this are much more intimate with the process and could probably tell you, with some degree of accuracy what to expect and when to expect it. Best of luck to you guys...Cebu/Bohol are two of our favorite places!

We feel so sad right now :( we have seen timelines from girl-boy couples with filipina fiances getting noa 2 approvals at tsc lately even if we received our noa1 ahead of them.

What's going on with our application? *sigh*

Oh hon - I feel your pain. Our paperwork was delayed interminably and just getting fingerprints was a nightmare. Social security number - another two year nightmare. It may not be same sex related. Stupid bureaucracy related. We had to make a lot of phone calls, written requests. Two congressional investigations. Looking back, hard to believe they put you through this when illegals get the carpet rolled out for them.

It is great to see this working out for other same sex couples. Some day tolerance may even extend to boy-girl couples with big age differences. lol.

Yes TSC is really behind but so many may 2014 from Philippines are getting approved lately. Even those application with the same noa1 as ours so we're wondering how come our application is not moving. :( is it because we are a same sex couple. Hopefully not.
