My fiancé her interview in Islamabad on 10/31. She was asked to bring $240 visa fee. At the interview they collected her medical and gave her a paper which said she has to pay $165 online. The interview went great and she was approved. When she came out I asked her if yiu she paid the visa fee, she said that they didn't ask and out of excitement she forgot to ask. Few days later she received her passport with the visa!

Now where the hell does she pay the fee? They've called the embassy and they Say to check the website. Nothing on the website. $165 is for green card and it doesn't pertain to us. I've called Thr NVC and they don't have a clue.

That should I do as she's traveling in a few days?

Thanks for your help!

$165 is the IV fee paid via ELIS online, and as you say, does not pertain to K1. You don't need to pay that.

Oh yeah. You should have paid that one. I guess clerical error in your favour. Not sure they can chase you for it now. You aren't required to show proof of payment later.

Like all of the posts above say, YES you were suppose to pay the visa fee... and it was to be paid at the oFFICe and the cost is $240. I think someone made a mistake and did not collect the money from her. so i guess you are one of the few lucky ones. If she has her passport with the Visa in it already. Just keep the 240 cash with you incase they ask for it (highly unlikely that anyone will at this point) Have a safe flight and dont stress about it.
