Hi!

We are in the process of compiling our initial I-129F application.

I am a UK citizen, holding permanent residency in Australia. We will be requesting that my interview be conducted at the American Embassy in Sydney, Australia.

My question is: Does my fiancée need to provide proof of my Australian Residency in the initial application?

Obviously they will see that I am holding a UK passport, but that I will be applying from Australia. It states on the application form that my fiancée must state which town and country consulate I will be going to for the interview. It also states that this request is at the discretion of the US Embassy.

I live in Australia, and have done for the last 3 years, so that is not an issue... We are just wondering if they will query this, and if so, would it be better to include this information in the initial application?

Anyone who is in a similar situation and can advise, we would much appreciate it :)

09/10/2014 - Biometrics appt

11/21/2014 - EAD and AP combo card in hand

12/16/2014 - Interview attended and application approved! :thumbs:

12/26/2014 - Green card in hand

09/27/2016 - Mailed ROC application

09/29/2016 - ROC application received by USCIS

10/03/2016 - NOA in hand! :)

11/07/2016 - Biometrics completed

03/15/2018 - ROC Approved! *No RFE or Interview! Thanks VJ* :thumbs:

04/06/2018 - 10 year GC in hand (With incorrect 'Resident Since' date - Filed SR online 'Typographical Error' with USCIS)

04/19/2018 - Email received from USCIS instructing me to return my GC for expedited correction - Mailed out today
