hello,

long story short : I met my hubby in 2010 when I was on work and travel program, then I got back home, he visited me 2 times for few weeks/months (2010-2011), he rented a flat while he was here and I was doing my studies. so we were getting to know each other more and more, and we felt in love completely, and we knew we want to continue this relationship even though it was long distance one.

Then we decide that is my turn to come to US so I went on work and travel again to the place where he is living so we can be together whole summer - it was last year, and when I was there we decidedto get married and we did - it was more than 90 days since I had arrived and 2 days before my flight home. my intention wasn't to come and get married - only to be with him, I just took an opportunity of being a student to use W&T program to do it and while being with beloved one make also some money :) the marriage was spontaneous ! so after that I got back to do my last year at the University. My husband was here for Christmas and for whole summer this year. Now we finally want to send our I 130 form, but I am not sure how it is going to look that we knew each other before our marriage on my J1 visa.

my question is should we show them whole history of our relationship ? or is there any good way to prove that I didn't mean to get married on j1 visa ? I am just worry that they might deny us because of getting married on j1 + knowing each other earlier..

I don't know if I am overreacting and making big deals out of nothing but I will appreciate any kind of input to this.

so come on, let's do the brainstorm so we can send our I 130 before this year ends (-:

Not a problem. You showed you complied with all your visas and didn't overstay and you're doing things the right way.

Example - a friend was on au-pair visa, met her future husband, left au-pair job early as her family had issues back home. Came back to the US to visit, got married, returned to her home country and her husband filed I-130. She had no issues getting a CR-1 visa.

Thank you. this is a one restorative example.

my concerns are more about the fact that I decided to go on J1 visa for second time while having a bf there.. so I guess I will just have to proof that we never intend to get marry that summer.. it just happened. right ?

one more question, maybe you are in touch with your friend, or know more details, did they attached to the I 130 story of their relationship from the beginning ? (from the first time when they have met.. when she was au pair?)

You can get a visa while having a boyfriend. It is not a problem at all. The only problem is if you lied at your J1 interview about having the boyfriend.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Yeah just show all your evidence thats important and thats what they're looking for and also it says alot that its not your intention to get married using J1 visa cuz during the interview they gonna dig all of it they gonna ask alot questions so be ready.

they didn't ask me if I had a boyfriend. They didn't even ask me if I know anyone in US. SO I never lied to anyone.

ok, so I should attach as bona fide marriage photos from the first time we meet ? actually we have only one picture together in our workclothes :D - and back then we were just getting to know eachother. and if yes is it going to be fine to attach pics from his visits in my country during those two years before we got married?

or just skip that part and show from the wedding and visits after ?
