Expedited Processing for the Philippines

I filed I-130 (US citizen filing petition for my mother) and mailed it on October 17, 2013, USCIS National Benefits center received it October 22, 2013, and was given a priority date of October 21, 2013. I was given a notice date of November 25, 2013 (case approved) and the petition was sent to National Visa Center for processing.

Glad to see it's getting faster at USCIS for you guys but I'm at NVC stage now and I asked if they where going to expitate applications and they said no so this will just flood NVC with applications i'm guess but fingers crossed I sent in final checklist and they said wait 30 more days for review make sure you send everything and error free I didn't total one page in one block and they kicked it back and get those criminal reports into them ASAP

I can't believe the blast of negative comments coming from people with beneficiaries from other countries. I guess it's warranted in some cases for people sitting there 9-12 months waiting for their NOA2. We were certainly not affected by Yolanda but I guess I will take the blessing while I can. There is another friend of mine here that filed a month before me from just a few miles away and he hasn't heard a thing yet.I am praying for his petition to get some type of answer. Since I have the same experience as tthose of you from the Philippines - I am excited to hear that you too are getting speedy approvals.

We received the same email a day after we put in our expedite request..it has been 2weeks now and we still dont hear anything from them after that email.

We haven't got it through email but thru a hard copy tho. Yes they mailed us a day after we request for an expedite. Lemme know if you get a response from them about your request. Will let you know too.

They took my husband's email add during the call so maybe they chose to send it through email? Idk they didnt transfer us (yet). He called again a week after and they just told him to wait 30days from the day he put in the request.

I requested to expedite over the phone for extreme emergency conditions on the 13 i believe. 21st of Nov approved and sent to NVC on 25th. No word so I called NVC and the DOS and not been entered yet. Hopefully they will send me a case # soon. Also anyone that is ahead of me on this can you get the priority scheduling for the interview? I am still in the Philippines and really want to get out of here with my family.

Me thinks this has slowed down the process for these filers - especially those in the Philippines that felt their case warranted expedite because of Typhoon Yolanda - this may have clogged the workload for those who are really in dire need of a review. If your fiancee lives in anyplace other than the hardest hit areas such as Davao and Leyte - shame shame.

The reason of our request was not because of the typhoon though My wife from Cebu hit by 2 catastrophic events (earthquake and typhoon) we didn't took advantage of it because my wife and family were spared from the tragedy. Thank God!

There are two July filer that are already approved.. They got transferred to TSC... what is Nebraska doing??? we have a lot of transfers but it seems that no one gets approve

My wife does not live in the typhoon zone, we did not ask for our case to be expedited, but we were transferred to Nebraska 20 Nov. It seems as if all Filipino cases are being handle in a faster than normal fashion. I filed my petition in Oct and certainly did not expect things to be decided in the next 60 days as the notice says.
