Hello Ya'll,

I read on one of the several immigration forums that once your case gets transferred to a local field office then they'd probably schedule an interview for my US citizen spouse, anyone who got transferred gotten any such news? Mine was transferred on Oct 31s 2013 & we didn't get any RFE.just the hard copy of the letter stating the transfer. I'd appreciate your input.

not true.

You should either get a decision or an RFE. No interviews at this stage

11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

And you are wrong. There have been cases where the petitioner was called for an interview with a local USCIS office before the final decision on the petition is rendered.

Yes petitional may be as to come in for interview, but it's not common and in most cases like that,it's either their her some red flags or some issues that can only be address in person, but things like this re not common

People are not currently being transferred to local offices. The OP may live in TX but their transfer to the Texas Service Center (which is not a local office) was purely coincidental.
