What was your favourite story?

Of them all, mine was tom Baker, as the fourth Doctor, in Genesis of the Daleks. good.gif

Oh, god, choices, choices.

Classic: Talons of Weng Chiang

New era: The 50th anniversary was sooo good, but that feels like cheating. The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances probably would be it. Eccleston is my favorite Doctor, and that was such a good story, and genuinely creepy. To this day, I can't help but say "are you my mummy?" whenever I see a gasmask, and my fiance got a true-to-life oh-####### moment at the Doctor Who Experience (back when it was in London). He was looking at the figure of the Empty Child when a kid, unbeknownst to him, walked up and said "are you my mummy?" rofl.gif

Oddly enough I just started watching Genesis of the Daleks last night. The streaming options are a little limited on US Netflix whistling.gif

Of the New Gen episodes, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances was pretty good, but, good as Christopher Eccleston was, I think Matt Smith makes a better Doctor, and The Impossible Astronaut is my favourite episode.

Sometimes I miss the multi-episode stories, but the new stories are good enough to stand by themselves most of the time.

And I did like the 50th anniversary episode, especially right at the end, as if you couldn't tell. ;)

I actually watched the Impossible Astronaut in my hotel room in London, about five minutes after meeting my fiance face-to-face for the first time :) I like Matt Smith, too, but apparently I have a thing for northerners tongue_ss.gif

I'm too young to have the nostalgia for Tom Baker that many have, so that moment was sweet, but not as fan-tastic (sorry, that was bad) for me as it was for others. For some reason, I still squee like a teenager when Capaldi pops up for that brief moment. I'm really looking forward to seeing where he takes the show!
