After reading about USCIS news about helping Filipino nationals expedite some processes after Typhoon Haiyan hit my hometown, I was greatly relieved that I could request for my EAD process to be hasten. We've seen the process time here, it normally takes 67 days to get one's EAD approved, my EAD is due to be released by the end of December or the first week of January, so, we have requested for it to be expedited today so I can start working and start sending money home to my dad and my other family members who have been affected by the recent typhoon. I just wondered if anyone has similar application/request and what updates they have on their request so far. Thanks!

I am not aware of the process for expediting the EAD based on the recent tragedy in the Philippines. However, an option is to try to find a job now and then expedite based on the job offer.

Please see how I did this here:

thank you for the link ... nice to know there are other ways to expedite the EAD... at least there are certain breaks during this process.

thanks for the link... i hope other Filipino nationals needing to send help to their family and relatives back home can avail of this... so far my AP is at post decision already when i checked my case status at uscis (although visiting right now is out of the question...sending aid would be better rather than using it on a plane ticket)..... im now praying for a speedy approval on the EAD but its still in intial review... **crossing fingers**
