The NOA1 isn't an approval. OP, did you get your NOA2 in 19 days, or your NOA1?

The OP's timeline says NOA1 was 10/24 and NOA2 was 11/12 so I think he is referring to the latter.

Over in the October thread we have another 4-week Vermont approval.Might be because she's Philipina, bit it looks to me like the USCIS is trying to play with the numbers.....

They would need to do that to a whole lot more than single individuals here and there to be able to fudge the numbers in the manner you indicate.

More likely this is as a result of the special measures for Philippine citizens in light of the recent typhoon.

But VJ is only a SMALL sample of the petitions that have been filed... I agree that there is likely to be a jump in the quick turn arounds (to jack the numbers and show a faster processing date) before they really attack the true backlog... But they will start to throw resources behind the backlog soon...

Yes, that's what a lot of people keep saying. But they don't appear to be clearing the backlog. That's the problem. We keep hoping and people keep saying it will clear up, but it never does.

It'll happen, I hope. I remember in March of this year when DACA hit the I-129f filings, no one believed they'd pick up - but look at them now!

I hope it improves very soon.

The only thing that worries me is I've been on here long enough now to have seen the slow down/speed up cycle a couple times, and it seems that where one petition starts to gain speed, another gets hit. They really need to have more staff overall, since at the moment they appear to feed with one hand, and take with the other.

I don't recall exactly when they started picking back up... I remember the big thread where people were pouring over the statistics[1]. I guess they started to pick up around June or July of this year. There was about 4 months when pretty much no petitions at CSC were being processed at the start of this year - it was very stressful (my petition was there at the time).

And no, I agree. They don't seem to be getting more staff. :/ They have spread the load out a little, it seems, but they're certainly not long-term fixing the problems.

I'm not saying the I-129fs will be hit. I'm saying I wouldn't be surprised if they were, since that seems to be USCIS's crappy tactic.
