when they say its been transfered to your local office do they mean you local USCIS office where u live at or state?

just wait you will receive another email saying that your case is being processed in USCIS office.. That is the 3rd mail I got so far...

December 21, 2011 - Got Married in the Philippines

December 21, 2012 - Went back in the Philippines for first anniversary.

USCIS

June 11, 2013 - I-130 sent

June 17, 2013 - NOA1

November 21, 2013 - Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center

December 5, 2013 - I-130 approved via email

December 9, 2013 - receive hard copy of NOA2

receive email that case was shipped to NVC

NVC

January 6, 2014 - NVC received the case ( no case number yet )

January 29, 2014 - Receive case number, invoice and beneficiary ID number

February 7, 2014 - DS261 available online and submitted

February 10, 2014 - received an email regarding AOS processing fee bill invoice

February 10, 2014 - was able to pay AOS online

Februay 12, 2014 - AOS showed PAID on line/ AOS package sent ( one day delivery)

February 13, 2014 - NVC received the package

February 18, 2014 - AOS was entered in the system

February 24, 2014 - received an email to pay IV fee, paid IV fee, IV fee in process

February 27, 2014 - DS-260 available online, completed and filed up. IV package sent (one day delivery)

February 28, 2014 - IV package received at the "dock"

March 4, 2014 - IV package was entered to the system

March 7, 2014 - Received a checklist for AOS (GGGGRRRRRR!!!!)

March 10, 2014 - Respond to the checklist ( sent package via UPS)

March 11, 2014 - Package received @ the dock

March 19, 2014 - IV package and DS260 approved (via phone call)

March 27, 2014 - Case Completed ( called NVC 2X just to make sure, now waiting to be forwarded to Manila Embassy Yehey!!!)

March 26, 2014 - Early Medical (No problem however hubby needs to go back to St Luke's for the vaccinations once his renewed passport arrived )

MAY 6, 2014 - Interview @ 0615 (APPROVED!!!!)

May 9, 2014 - visa picked up from to go

May 9, 2014 - Booked flight for hubby

May 11, 2014 - Hubby's Flight from Philippines to USA (yahoo!!!! 2 more days!!! I will be with him forever!!!)

I am not so sure but I think the local office of the state where u live. In my case we only 1 local uscis office in IL and that can be found in chicago. It is where my case went I think because it says further in the email that the office has jurisdiction over my case and they will notify me once decision is made or need additional docs for further processing.

We have the same case also. Ours were transferred on local office on the 18th.no other info after that .

02-12-14- Case number, IIN & Beneficiary ID available through phonecall

02-24-14- DS-261 available and completed

02-26-14- Received email from NVC to pay AOS bill

02-27-14- paid AOS bill, in process

03-03-14- AOS bill appear as paid

03-15-14- Received email from NVC to pay IV bill; Mailed AOS packet

03-18-14- NVC received AOS packet, under review

Hi im the beneficiary and im on the same boat... just check my case status today and it said that I130 petiton transferred to the local uscis office...

USCIS STAGE:

August 17, 2013 - I-130 sent

August 22, 2013 - noa1

November 22, 2013 - tranferred to TSC

December 16, 2013 - approved

December 19, 2013 - noa2 hardcopy

January 09, 2014 - shipped to NVC

NVC STAGE:

January 17, 2014 - case received

February 24, 2014 - case number received

February 25, 2014 - IIN and BIN received

March 01, 2014 - ds 261 completed

March 05, 2014 - aos invoice and paid (in process)

March 07, 2014 - aos shows paid

March 22, 2014 - iv bill paid (in process)

March 25, 2014 - iv bill shows paid

March 25, 2014 - ds260 completed

March 26,2014 - iv package send to nvc

March 31, 2014 - iv package arrived at NVC 12:05pm (Gary S. Peters - signatory)

April 05, 2014 - aos arrived at nvc but business closed. waiting them (usps) to redeliver it on Monday.

Guys, your file will not go to no local office. These are just incorrect updates that everyone has been getting (some glitch in their system).

You need to wait for your hard copy letter to know where your file was transferred to. It will be one of the service centers- California Service Center, Texas Service Center or Nebraska Service Center.

Ohhhh I see....what could be the difference of status updates saying transferred in "your local uscis office" and " in another office"?

It doesn't matter cause they're both incorrect.

Your hard copy letter will tell you which service center your file went to :)

Hi sado...mine was also transferredn nov.21 but it says to the local office( im thinking its the local uscis office in chicago since i live in illinois). I filed in July and my beneficiary is in the Phils also...

Gentlemen,

My I-130 and I-129 petitions were APPROVED within 3 months of filing!!!

I live in California. Shortly after I received text messages that my "case was transferred...to another office for processing" (read my 22 November 2013 post), I receive paper notifications in my mail dated 25 Nov 2013 stating that my I-130 and I-129 petitions were transferred to California Service Center in Laguna Nigel, California for processing.

Last week, I received 3 separate NOA2 letters dated 6 January 2014 stating that my I-130 and I-129 petitions have been APPROVED and that the petitions have been sent to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, NH for processing and forwarding to the appropriate consulate (in my case, Manila Philippines).

Philippine beneficiaries (spouse and stepdaughter)

I-130s filed 9/27/2013 - - - NOA1 received 10/2/2013 - - - NOA2 (indicating I-130s were approved) 1/6/2014

I-129 filed 10/16/2013 - - - NOA1 received 10/21/2013 - - NOA2 (indicating I-129 was approved) 1/6/2014
