Hello all! So I entered the country with a k1 , after 2 weeks I got my SSN Number as the guide said. Then my EAD was here after 90 days and I changed my name through AOS, I send with mail all the documents the needed according to their website because I couldn't go to the SSN Office in person and they send me a letter that I have to prove US citizenship to change my name now or the I-766.

We plan on going there in person because my AOS interview is in 2 weeks and my husband has the days off , so my question is what do I need to show them apart from the Marriage Certificate, and EAD? Will I have problems with the interview if the SSN is on my maiden name still?

Just go to the office in person and bring EAD and marriage cert. I don't think you are eligible for a replacement SSN via mail. Must be in person.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

No problems if SS card is still in your maiden name at AOS interview.. They won't even ask about it.

But... you SHOULD be able to get new card with your married name just by showing them your marriage certificate and filling out their form. Might as well bring your EAD and passport, though neither SHOULD be necessary. You already HAVE a SSN, all you are doing is correcting the (legal then) incorrect card that has your maiden to your married (legal now) name.

Good luck!
