It's a waste of time. If he does not play the lottery for a few years, he can try to re-apply then, but right now- no chance.

Just because a CO is tough does not make him racist....all of those vitriolic comments casting aspersions on said VO won't change any decision he makes. If your BF really had a business worth millions, he would not have been denied. A congressman cannot do anything towards obtaining a visa for your BF....a congressman does NOT know him personally nor can the congressman 'vouch' for him, nor can the congressman 'order' the VO to issue a visa (even the president cannot do that). The organization cannot vouch for the BF either....all they can do is write some letter explaining the alleged 'need' that the BF should attend some conference...that does not explain nor convince a VO as to why he would return to Tunisia. What is the topic of said conference? And why is it so vital he attend? That is part of the equation, sounds like.

Nearly everyone whose BF of GF gets denied a tourist visa subsequently claims that the CO 'was not fair'...with 'fair' only relating to the fact that the visa was not granted. Yet at the end of the day, how many interviews has an average CO conducted versus the number interviewed even collectively by those who have disagreed with the decisions?

a final thought....while the OP is trying to blame the VO, who apparently lied during their interview when asked if he knew anyone in the US? That would have been the BF. If the VO perceived this fib, or found out some additional information (such as the conference being suspect in some way, as it relates to what sounds like a bunch of people applying to attend, though it's doubtful all of them share the same background), then how is the VO racist for doing his job, which is to determine an applicant's credibility and intentions?

When an applicant takes great pains to avoid revealing information during his or her interview, a keen CO can sense this, and that's about all it takes to nullify that person's credibility...after all, if they (the applicants) are lying about one aspect of their situation, then it logically follows there are other half-truths (or worse) floating around.

We have seen this countless times on this site, as poster after poster retells the same story...'my BF/GF applied, but did not tell the VO anything about our relationship, but was denied anyway...what can we do? How can my congressman right this terrible wrong?'....forgetting all the while that said BF or GF stepped up to the plate, fully prepared to hide the truth.
