So after 1 year and 3 months I had my interview with my wife today...

Appointment was at 8:30am at the Oakland Park, FL office. We arrived there around 8:00am and couldn't check-in till 8:15. So the wait began. At 9:15 my name was finally called. We were greeted by a very unhappy officer. She barely introduced herself and was unfriendly. She took us to her office and swore us in. We were told to down. She began with basic questions about our application, name, address, etc... Then she asked what other evidence I brought. At this point we still haven't had any sort of conversation, my wife even thought she rolled her eyes at one point. She just seemed like she hated her job and didn't want anything from us. She then asked for more recent bank statements. I told her that I didn't bring last month. She then told us that we needed to go to the nearest bank and get the statement. The interview was over after 10-15 minutes. We left, went to the bank per her request, and came back around 10am. We told the front desk and she called our office and told her we were back. We waited another hour and I finally went back to the front desk and asked if she forgot about us or what was going on. She called the officer and she said that we could have just left the statement with the front desk. Are you serious?!?!?!? We finally left around 11am and got some food because we were starving.

So now I have no clue what happened and where I stand. DId I get approved? Did I fail? Is there another interview? Any information of what's next would of been helpful. I assumed when we came back with the bank statements we would talk more. Anyone have any idea where I stand ?

Thank you

sorry to hear that, I would also be wondering about the outcome of the interview. I am sure who ever she deals with, those ppl are gone case. I really want to express my self about her, but i cant due to TOS reasons. But you get the point.

Lets see whats next for you, keep checking case status, and good luck.

You didn't fail; otherwise she wouldn't have asked you to bring a recent bank statement. And actually, I do not think that this statement was important. It is just a formality from her side wink.png

You gotta love this country, they keep us safe from dangerous German immigrants by way of asking for updated bank statements... I'm sorry for your experience, I hope you are approved soon.

Dpeter736, we also had an interview last Monday on December 2nd and neither heard anything from the USCIS nor any update on their website regarding the status updates. How long does it take in your case do get the notice , was it by mail or they updated ur status on the website ?

how long after your application submission does one normally get an interview notice ? Are there any steps or notices before the interview call like RFEs or anything else ?

I got my interview after a very long process. I filed in July 2012 and didnt get the interview notice till November 2013, so over a year. I also got an RFE and made two service requests and an info pass appointment. I also contacted my US Representative and asked for help. I did everything possible to move my process along so I can get on with my life. DId any of the things I did help? I hope to think so but probably not. They get to you when they get to you. It sucks. But I am finallly done with ROC and now just waiting on my interview for naturalization.
