I plan to begin "interviewing" banks during the next few months. The outfit where I've been for nearly 23 years closed the supermarket branch where I'd been going, and the next nearest regular branch either treats me like an afterthought or like a criminal. I'd have pulled my account already, but I'd just ordered a new batch of checks before the supermarket-branch closure was announced. When I do pull the account, I'll make sure that everyone knows why. Si and sigh, man.

Agreed it's annoying. Nobody likes people who don't take no for an answer. But I'm sure the teller hated having to ask just as much as you hated having to answer.

Working in customer service, even in a bank, sucks. You have people breathing down your neck wondering why you aren't "selling" whatever they're trying to offer customers. "Customers don't want it" is never a good enough answer.

I bank at a branch where rich people bank. The walls are plastered with those autographed pictures of actors you see at old-school restaurants sometimes, except instead of saying "The borscht here is AMAZING!!! xxx Tony Danza" they say "Best bankers ever!!!! xxx Phyllis Diller"

The service is friendly and respectful, and the associates actually remember (good) things about me. One of them complimented my hair on Wednesday so I'm probably wedded to this bank forever now.

I went thru the drive thru at a national chain bank today.I made a deposit While I was waiting. I get this.

Sir my name is Marry.. Your CSR rep tom is handling your deposit, while you are waiting.....and went into some long spill about some low interest credit card. She went on and on.

Then she says I will have it sent out to you tomorrow I just need you to say i agree etc etc.

I said thank you I am not interested.

She then gave another pitch

I told her I was not interested

She finally ask if I can give her a reason why I am not interested

I reply because I would just like to put my money in your bank without having my privacy.invaded and having to be assaulted with a sales pitch

My wife said I was rude.

I think the bank is way out of line?

Banks don't do this in Vermont. We can carry guns.

I DID notice at the doctor's office that they had a sign at the receptionist's desk that I should be prepared to show TWO forms of ID (one a photo ID)

I think this is an attempt to disenfranchise minorities from doctors.

Anyway, regarding banks

This is the Dems fault! They limited the fees banks can charge to Ne'er do wells, bums, welfare leeches and the mathmatically dysfunctional that think Obamacare is a good deal and cannot keep their checkbook balanced (probably buy lottery tickets and shop at Walmart)

When you are in command...COMMAND! You say "NO" it is "No" But for you, it was not "no". As soon as you answer the 2nd question the "no" is a "maybe"

When you leave, the bank woman should be asking herself "Why did I waste my time after he said no?"

I went to Lowe's and bought a light bulb (LED ...because I care about the planet and it saves me $$$)

They cashier asked if she could have my phone number (she was preparing to enter it in the cash register which is really a computer connected to a non-government functional system)

"no"

We use it if you need to return the item

we can help you to keep track of your purchases

Same with my main Bank USAA and my secondary locally owned bank.

The bank I am talking about is Wells Fargo. It is my 3rd bank. I only have money there because and old college acquaintance asked me to open an account.

That is about to end. It appears they are just as messed up as Bank of America

i was looking for a small loan and thought about opening up an account at a larger bank, for a better initial apr but after reading all the fine print and hassle i ended up sticking with my credit union.
