Hi guys,

so I filled and they received my i 485 and EAD and AP as of yesterday...however I went to check my status and in the print it says if missing documents your case will be denied?!

We had called USCIS about 3 weeks ago explaning that I had misplaced my i 129 approval, and we had filed for the i 824 to get a copy of it and were still waiting for that to come BUT that my i 94 is expired on December 8th.

She told us to file the greencard without the i 129 and they will just ask for a RFE... what if they don't ask for an RFE and just deny me?! I feel sick to my stomach...my husband and I just had a new born and I can't go back to Canada I just sold my house... Someone pleaaaaase shed some light. Im a nervous wreck.

Thank you

Hi katie,

We filed for AOS from K1 visa without the NOA2 (I-797c) because they never sent it to us in the first place.

However, the I-485 was approved with no issues.

We did get an RFE for tax returns in which we already submitted. I guess they misplaced my husband's papers or got mixed up in the process.

Check out my timeline to help you gauge. Hope this helps

OMG, thank goodness... I swore up and down they never sent us one either...but yet they claimed they did?! All we got was a notifcation on my husbands iphone. This is definitely a relief, I barely slept last night worrying I was going to be deported. So they never even asked for your proof of it? My god, why do they make it a required document. We spent $405 on a duplicate of it just for my GC! I feel stupid now. But also very very relieved.
