Stay a day in Miami, get the hair fixed pronto !

But By God (and Her Seven Sisters) DO NOT GET ON THE PLANE leaving Columbia after the 24th.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

K-1 visa is valid 6 months from the day of her medical, not interview.

For example, if you take medical on December 22, it will be valid through June 22.

Hope you are on a happy flight now star_smile.gif

good.gif I had actually forgotten this little piece of information. The 6 month time period for the Visa is from the date of the medical exam, not the interview itself.

This is wrong information. The 6 month validity is from when the visa is issued. The date is on the visa itself.

Actually its not. Unless this is embassy dependent. My previous petition was through the consulate in Colombia, and the visa was dated 6 months from the medical exam.

I love how everybody is now waiting for the next post. Did they make it here on time or not?!?!

Haha you are right! OP I hope you and your fiancee made it to the US!

I think it depends on the embassy. Mine was valid for 6 months after visa issuance, even though I had had the medical 6 weeks before the visa was issued.
