Hi Everyone,

I just finished my interview on the 18th of Nov and was told by CO everything was fine except they need the Police Clearance or COC from Singapore. The interview went well actually, the CO was really friendly and people watching us talking were probably like "wow, these two are pretty tight and just talking like they've known each other for so long" biggrin.png The COs sense of humor was just insanely infectious and we were just really having fun.

Anyways, I initially requested an official letter from USEM on the 31st of Oct when I found out that this is a mandatory for anyone who had worked overseas for over 6 months. I thought I was ahead of the game when I requested that letter but then they replied to me for like, forever; a week before the interview date. I was so ready to send the documents to SPF but I was having difficulty in obtaining a bank draft from Singapore based bank here in Manila. Interview day came and true enough, they asked for my COC and wont send the visa until they receive the certificate. They even returned my passport and was asked to send it back to any branches of 2Go once I applied COC.

Tonight, I am flying to Singapore to process it tomorrow personally coz I got sick and tired of thinking where to get this damn bank draft or ask a friend in SG to process it for me. Id rather go there and do it myself.

Anyone here has an idea how long this process would take as far as SPF end, and sending it to USEM then send the visa to me?

Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Have a good day!

On SPF's end, it takes about 3 weeks (or 15 business days) for a foreign national if you pick it up at the COC office in person and a month or more if you ask them to send it by post to a foreign mailing address (i.e. USEM).

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Thanks for the reply kittthekat.

Wow, a month or so? Thats ridiculously long for a police clearance.

Anyways, do u by any chance know if I can get someone to pick it up for me? Coz if its quicker for pick up then Id rather send someone there and get it on my behalf. The question is, if its possible.

Thanks again for the time.
