If the embassy sends and email to the senator or congressman the date will change but it won't mean they worked on your case. So the date change will not mean anything important.

In 2013 the embassy made several important mistakes to our case. I have a letter from the embassy and emails as proof. I sent a complaint letter and proof of their mistakes to Mr. Williams, Deputy Chief of Missions. I sent email after email trying to find out if he got our package and got no response from the embassy. Finally I had my senator send an email. The embassy wrote him back. They said they couldn't tell us if he received the package. I guess that information is a secret.

Carolyn I am so happy for you! It makes me so happy to see that finally they are working on your case. After so long, I cannot wait to see your "issued" post. As far as the senator email goes, I know they usually do not tell what they exactly said i guess it is confidential as you said. Hope your family is reunited soon!

MsZeen,

I too will be so happy when they finally finish our case. I really need my husband here with me. I am having many problems with my house this winter because it is so cold. First my furnace stopped working and ot cost a lot of money to have it repaired. Now the pipes that bring water into my house are frozen. I have been without water for 3 days. I called a plumber and he said put a heater next to the pipe and I have done that but I am still waiting for water.

Even if my husband couldn't help me financially just being able to have his arms around me would be a great support to me.

Yes I do have other relatives. My oldest son has been bringing me drinking water from his house. I am not close with my 2 sons. In America many families are not warm and loving like they are in Pakistan. Really my relatives don't care that much about me. I am on my own to handle difficult situations.

Yeah I understand that American white families aren't as closely bonded as Paki families, but I didn't know you were white, thought you were Paki living abroad like many of my family. They live abroad but they still live their culture and are closely bonded as us.

Anyway, hope everything goes fine for you. The more I read about people here (like you and Aisha) the more I realize that how difficult it can be without partner. Will pray for ya guys.

I can totally understand Carolyn! Just to have them physcially there is support for many of us! I hope that everything with the house goes alright. I know that it is a lot of work and loads of money. We also had some problems here, but we are trying our best. Hope everything eases down!
