I emailed the embassy saying our 12 weeks are up and I've got the same automated reply from the embassy we've been getting from the past 3 years about how AP is a length process etc

so it seems its just wait for us and nothing else...

AP is all about waiting and trying not to lose your mind in the process. The embassy has had our medical sense December 25, 2013 yet they have not reviewed it and there was no record of it with the Department of State. I sent many emails asking it they received the medical and finally they answered.

On December 9, 2013 went sent letters and emails to the Chief of Mission showing all the mistakes the embassy was making with our case. We know it was delivered to the embassy but the embassy will not tell us what happened to it. So next week my husband will send it again.

I am so very tired of Islamabad embassy. I think they are the worse embassy in the world to try and get a visa. Some how people that interviewed in 2013 are getting visas while the old cases just rot.

The embassy received our 2nd medical, DS 230 & 2 photos on Nov 25, but they haven't reviewed it yet....our last automatic update was Dec 2, 2013....after that due to a reply of my email, they updated on Dec 31st...since then NO UPDATES...

I have called DOS several times & i have noticed that usually when its a male, they talk to u longer n nicely; but if its a female, they r very rude...i asked them the reason of embassy asking for second or third Medical when they r not even ready to issue visa, n they said that cuz they dont wanna waste time on a case whose med is expired...so that a new med might provide a good reason to refuse a visa...i hope u guys understand

Anyone of you still getting updates while being in AP? We've been getting alot of updates on our case since my brothers case(after his interview) and we've already gotten 4 updates in January. Is it normal ?because i remember we didnt get those updates 2 3 years back(but we were also facing retrogression back then too)

Is it normal to get these updates or should i expect something to happen?

My case updated on its own again today which is January 24. Last update was on Jan 16 on its own and after that no more updates. Got update today again. Please pray for me. 10 months and 19 days in AP. Really hard without my husband with a baby.

Hey guys my case also updated today after 9 months in ap

But today embassy closed can some one have information about this situation

I believe that the status updates arent always manual. It can be the result of an automated system that finishes doing some task on your case and then automatically updates it. Or I could be wrong.

Quick question, has getting a congressman involved done any good for anyone? Has it caused more updates or green signals? Or not really helped at all?

No one can do anything in ap

The Senator or Congressman might be able to get you some answers to certain questions. Also they will usually answer their emails when they won't return yours.
