I have been a silent viewer since my husband was put in AP (April 2013). We were told by the CO that it would take 2-3 months...we are now in our 9 month. I am really surprised that it is taking this long because twice before (student visa and visit visa), he had been approved in 6 months of AP. So I really thought they wouldn't spend so much time on a person who had been in AP twice before...lo and behold..i was wrong!

I have called the DOS multiple times, emailed the embassy, and contacted our congresswoman's office (even they think my husband should have been approved by now). They have tried 2 times but have received the same answer as me. I seriously don't know what to do anymore.

Does anyone have experience with a long AP with an immigrant visa even when you have been approved for nonimmigrant visas before?

PS: No self updates since the beginning of Dec. We were seeing a lot of updates in Sept and Oct but after that it just stopped.

Wow Moshin, I know you have been waiting a long time. have you tried e-mailing the embassy for an update or called DOS?

Rmart, there is no other choice but wait, as hard as it is. We have been on ap for 1 year now, and I know how hard it is. Try to stay strong praying and hopeful.
