Hi guys! I think few weeks back there was a confusion about how long medical report is good for, I found out its only good for 6 Months of period!! A family member got his visa last week and he renewed his medical in Oct. and his visa expires in April.

salmankhan,

There is a lot of confusion about when the medical expires. I guess when the embassy wants a new medical they will email the beneficiary. The embassy sent my husband an email saying they wanted a new medical then they sent another email saying they made a mistake because his medical expires in March 2014. To be on the safe side he did a new medical, DS230 and passport pics.

I emailed the embassy and they said medicals are only good for 6 months. I wonder if they have a lot of new people working at the embassy because they have made many mistakes with our case. Even the Department of State doesn't seem to know what they are doing. My husband sent a package of letters and emails showing all the mistakes being made to our case to the Chief of Mission at the embassy on December 9, 2013. I called DOS and the lady told me the package was received. I called back the next day and a different lady said the package was not received. So I am having my Senators office email the embassy to try and find out what's going on.

Aisha,

It used to be normal for females not to get any AP but that has changed. It used to be normal for females to have shorter AP but that has changed also. Everyone in AP both males and females are suffering and not knowing how long it will take.

Sense our case was reaffirmed the embassy has worked on our case over 16 times yet we still remain in AP for almost 2 years. My husband says they want to break up our marriage then we will go away and not bother them again. You have to be strong. Someday they will begin work on your case.

Yeah, they are making a lot of mistakes in my case as well, which has caused me significant delay and still I am not sure how to tackle this all. I was thinking about getting congressman write them as well. What you think the best way to contact congressman? I am in Pakistan, can I call his office directly or Email him directly or should I get my family in US write/call his office?
