The embassy replied to the congressman's office inquiry that our medical would expire on a date that meant a validity of 1 year. But when I called the DOS and asked them when our medical would expire the lady said it would expire 6 months after the day it was performed. I told her it has been much longer than that so why have we not been asked for a new medical? She replied, "because it would not make sense to ask you for a new medical until we are ready to issue you a visa now would it?" *facepalm*

Anyone here know if 18 year old son coming with mother in karachi is at risk for AP? Any experience?

Yeah i am 20 years old and my sister is 21, we were given 221g green, not AP. the case was on hold. The embassy thought that we "the children

and my mother" wants to travel together to us. Thats why our case was on hold. Then i send an email to embassy on 5th jan, that we are old enough to travel alone and to process the cases individually. On 10 jan 2013 is was issued. So only 30 days of hold. They normally don't give AP to children.

Why did you approach Embassy through congressman? Are they not replying to your emails as well?

why ambassy does not issue visa . i dont understand the thing after 1 year taking process they put in to AP again after interview its unfair for peoples who already wait a year or more than 1 year. if administrative process is not complete why they send interview letter or case aproval leter

No they replying to me every time when i sent inquiry.but someone told me its good the congressman contact embassy about your case.otherwise i dont khnow its true or not

Your profile says Afghanistan, Is your case registered with Pakistan or Afghanistan embassy?

And I don't think congressman contacting embassy makes any difference. They take as much time as they want for AP, no matter if congressman contacts them or lawyer or whoever..
