Hi my case updates more the 6 time since 20 Dec and now today my brother in Pakistan received call from US Embassy asking him to tell me to submit my passport for visa processing. As I'm currently working/living abroad. What is my chances to go back to Pakistan and submit my passport ?

2 months back i received email from embassy asking to submit my passport but when i email them and asked should i come back and submit than they replied that not to come until the will tell me.

So now what should i do , do i come and submit ? as I've seen 2 or 3 other cases who submit there passport and not get visa and still in AP.

neosez,

You could email the embassy again and see what they say. 2 months ago they asked for your passport and now they are asking for it again. It looks to me like they are ready to issue the visa.

That happened with my friend too. He got his student visa within 5 days. But he told me about alot of students getting rejected and not getting their visa. In case you were wondering, he had his interview in karachi.

All i can say is bro, we cant rely on this. Cuz you never know how long the processing takes. Everyone should always have a plan B or a way to keep themselves busy.

Kaleem999,

We also submitted new documents in April 2013. It was months before we heard from the embassy again. They had my husband come in for another interview at the end of October and have only worked on our case 2 times sense the interview.

The embassy is hurting many people with long waits. They are not just doing this to you. Keep praying about it and try not to feel so sad.

Kaleem999,

This is our second time in AP. The first time we spent 16 months in AP and our visa was denied. We appealed and won and our case was sent back to the embassy. This time we have spent 18 months in AP so far. It is very hard to see people that interviewed in 2013 get their visas so fast while old cases like mine continue to rot in AP. Everyday I ask God for strength and courage to wait all these years for my husband to get his visa.

Be strong Kaleem999. We are here to support you and help you with your pain.
